Which one should I buy? Why is there so many?

Well it’s a bit like a seamstress, a mechanic or a carpenter, they all have the tools they prefer to use. For a seamstress there is a selection of sewing machines on the market, different threads/fabrics and for the mechanics different tools etc but each individual chooses the one that they prefer.  From the outside, they all do the same thing but until it becomes a part of your crafty tool box you’ll soon appreciate the differences.

I’ve tried every punch needle tool on the market... for me I really can’t warm to a punch needle that requires a wire threader.  Its also difficult to teach a person how to thread a punch needle when they have zero experience of the craft.

There are only 2 punch needles on the market that do not require a threader both of which I use every day and absolutely adore!
These are the Decoaguja Range and the Oxford Punch Needle.

Decoaguja Range (Bow) - is the range I stock online and it is a self threading punch needle and comes in a variety of sizes, Fine, Mini, XL, Mini Long, XL Long.  My everyday needle is the Mini Bow.  She comes with 2 little spacers which lets you set the tuft height. It has a plastic colourful handle which I LOVE!  The XL Bow will take a super chunky yarn, the Mini Bow takes chunky to thin yarn and the Fine Bow needle takes embroidery thread.

Oxford Punch Needle - Is also a self threading punch needle and it comes in a variety of sizes for different tuft heights and yarn weights.  The one I use everyday is the #10 regular which takes a variety of yarn weights.  This punch needle is a little expensive but it is a lovely needle to work with.
Both needles are my go to in every project!

The range of punch needles can be very over whelming but everyone has their favourite.  My advice start with a kit that you love the look off and see what happens.
